Today, for a change of pace, I decided to make a model other than a building, and made a Beetle Mini that is at Fukushima Airport. I thought about buying Ultraman-related goods online, but they cost 100 dollars (゚Д゚). I'm not very confident, but I decided to make one by hand. The method of making it is the same as for buildings: import a three-dimensional drawing into Blender and then deform the original shape to fit it, but since I'm not used to making them, it was quite a hassle. It took me two hours. When I finally finished it and compared it to a photo of Fukushima Airport, I noticed that the proportions of each part were quite different. It seems that the three-dimensional drawing (material for painting plastic models) that I used as reference was slightly different from the model that was at Fukushima Airport. I frantically tried to find other three-dimensional drawings, but they were all different. Or rather, even though they were supposed to be models of the same mechanism, the dimensions and proportions of each part were all different. Even though they were called three-dimensional drawings, they were originally made for toys, so perhaps this is how it is. Since it's for scenery purposes, I'll be happy with this. Today, I'd like to try making the Beetle Jet.
